Saqib M. Ahmad M.D. , F.A.C.O.G.

Dr. Ahmad earned his medical degree in 1998 and completed his residency training at Hurley Medical Center in Flint, MI. Dr. Ahmad is Triple Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology as well as in Minimal Invasive Gynecology and specializing in cosmetic gynecology. He opened his private practice in June of 2012, Ladies First Health Care.
Dr. Ahmad is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Michigan State Medical Society, Genesee County Medical Society, and the Islamic Medical Society of Genesee County. He is a Clinical Professor of OB/GYN for Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. Dr. Ahmad is the Chairman of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Hurley Medical Center and a member of the hospital executive committee. Through his involvement with the resident training program at Hurley Medical Center and with the Michigan State University medical students, Dr. Ahmad has earned the CREOG (Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology) National Faculty Award, the APGO (American Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics) Award for Excellence in teaching and the Michigan State University Excellence in Teaching Award. He is one of 12 nationwide named Top Mentor of the Year by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the Junior Fellow College Advisory Council in 2020. He has been voted one of Michigan's favorite physicians by the Patients' Choice Awards and was voted one of the area's most compassionate physicians multiple times.
Dr. Ahmad has a vast knowledge of obstetrics, gynecological problems and procedures, top notch surgical skills including and specializing in minimally invasive surgeries such as the DaVinci Robotic Surgery. In his spare time, Dr. Ahmad enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife and four children. He is also an avid cricket fan, enjoys watching soccer, and football.
Colleen Newlin
Certified Nurse Midwife & Nurse Practitioner

Colleen has been working in obstetrics and gynecology for over 11 years. She received her Post-Graduate Certificate in Midwifery at Frontier Nursing University. Prior to that, she received her Masters of Science in Nursing for Nurse Practitioner at South University. She received her undergraduate nursing degree at Oakland University. She worked in labor and delivery for 8 years prior to joining Ladies First Health Care in 2018.
Colleen enjoys caring for all women throughout their lifespan. However, her professional passions include pregnancy, childbirth, family planning, PCOS and menopause. She also really enjoys caring for and providing education to adolescents. Colleen’s personal passions include spending time with her husband and 4 children. She is a very busy board member for her son’s youth football organization and and active participant in her daughter’s multiple competitive basketball leagues. When she is not busy with this, she enjoys traveling and fitness.
She is a current member of American College of Nurse Midwives and American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Teri Sweet
Certified Nurse Practitioner

Teri Sweet is a dedicated board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner with a passion to provide comprehensive care across a woman’s lifespan while empowering patients to take an informed and active role in their health care decisions. She incorporates the latest in evidence-based practices while providing high quality health care with an inclusive, compassionate, and trauma-informed approach. Teri earned a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Madonna University in Livonia. Her OB clinical expertise spans over two decades of inpatient experience supporting new mothers and families during the early postpartum period. Outside of Teri’s professional role, she enjoys gardening, kayaking, spending time with family and friends, and walking her dog.
